What is Rhinoplasty?

Introduction: Rhinoplasty is a nose surgery in which the nose deformity is corrected to improve the shape of nose and the breathing passage through the nose. Rhinoplasty is often combined with septoplasty surgery (Correction of DNS).

What are the Symptoms?

• External deformity of nose

How to Plan for surgery?

Visit the ENT surgeon or Rhinoplasty Surgeon and discuss about your symptoms.

Physical examination will be done.

Type of Anesthesia given during the surgery?

This surgery is generally done under General Anesthesia, in few cases it can be done under Local Anesthesia.

How long is the Hospital stay period?

Generally, Patient have to stay for 1-2 Days in the Hospital. (May Vary from case to case)

What is the post-surgery recovery period?

Initial few weeks there may be swelling on nose and face with heaviness. There might be mild pain which can be resolved with medication. One-week rest should be taken.

Result of Rhinoplasty

After the recovery period improvement of nose shape will improve the facial aesthetic. But in some cases, changes are not enough, and you must wait for the follow-up surgery, because your nose can go through changes during this time.
