Damaged cancer cells are unable to repair themselves after receiving radiation treatment. In radiation treatment we use electrons and photon beams to treat the cancer.
Aadhar Hospital, Radiation Oncology Department, is equipped with linear accelerator -Varian Truebeam and Brachytherapy SagiNova HDR machine .We have a team of experienced professionals dedicated to providing the highest standard of care.

- External Beam Radiation Therapy (EBRT): In EBRT, linear accelerator machine delivers radiation beams from external source to targeted area of body where tumor is located.
- Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT): Advanced, highly precise radiation for small & metastatic tumors with minimal side effects to surrounding normal tissues.
- Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT): Real-time imaging to precisely target tumors and minimize healthy tissue exposure.
- Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT): IMRT uses the machine to send multiple energy beams of varying strengths to a tumor, reducing the side effects
- Electron Beam Therapy:Electron beam radiotherapy uses high-energy electrons to treat superficial cancers, primarily those located near the skin surface.
- Palliative Radiation Therapy: Providing radiation treatment for symptomatic relief for patients with advanced cancer or metastasis to other organs like bones, brain etc.
- Brachytherapy (Internal Radiation):Brachytherapy is a vital component of our comprehensive radiation oncology services at Aadhar. With this technique, we deliver radiation directly to the tumor site by placing radioactive sources inside or close to the tumor. This allows high doses of radiation to be delivered precisely to the affected area while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissue. Whether used alone or in combination with other treatments, brachytherapy offers a targeted approach to cancer treatment, improving outcomes and quality of life for our patients.
